In July, 2019, Elandon Roberts, a linebacker for the NFL New England Patriots, was stopped by a Deputy in Houston, Texas.
Roberts was stopped for driving 59 mph in a 35 mph zone in his Porsche.
Roberts was at his home and had gotten out of his vehicle to go inside.
The Officer wanted him to get back inside his car; Roberts did not comply fast enough for the Deputy.
Roberts believed that he was racially profiled. Other officers were summonsed.
Roberts filed a complaint against the Deputy.
The traffic charge was apparently withdrawn.
